The successful candidate will be expected to teach a course load of 12 hours per semester, including courses such as Crop Science, Weeds and Their Control, Integrated Pest Management, and other courses as needed. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in agronomy and develop new courses that will enhance the current Crop and Soil Management degree program curriculum. Public service and research activities, student advising, preparing student teams for competition, co-advising the Agronomy Club, and developing a positive rapport with local, state and regional-level crop production firms will be required. The successful candidate will participate in research and scholarly activities, serve on committees, support quality graduate programs, and support the Hutson School of Agriculture and its activities, such as the annual FFA Field Day. The successful candidate will be intricately involved with the university research farms as well as engage collaboratively with industry partners.
